Brett M. Bowen, D.D.S.

I have always had a desire to take care of others. I grew up in a small farming community in northwest Ohio, but made my way down south to UNA to complete my undergraduate degree in Biology. While in Florence, I met my wife, Sarabeth Little, who shared my passion for taking care of others. We married in 2010, and I began dental school in fall of 2011.

I attended Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraksa where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Throughout my education at Creighton, I was able to address a variety of dental concerns such as dentures, extractions, root canals, crowns, and pediatric dentistry.

Sarabeth Bowen

I have always had a passion for developing people & watching them grow. After completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama, my career started at Bob Jones High School as math teacher. My role transitioned to an Executive Team Leader for Target as I managed and developed large groups of people in a variety of roles during our 4 year stay in Nebraska for Dr. Bowen to attend dental school.

I was blessed to start my journey into motherhood in 2013. In 2015, I was able to help Dr. Bowen establish his practice and transition to a stay at home mom & office manager for Bowen Family Dentistry.

After extensive research and planning, I along with my wife and son, Sarabeth and Josiah, decided to make Russellville our home. We welcomed our second son, Timothy, in September 2015 and our third son, Daniel, in May of 2017. We are excited to be a part of the Russellville community. Northwest Alabama has always held a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to watching our family grow here.

In 2018, we found a beautiful area in Town Creek that we were fortunate to be able to call home. Our family now resides on our farm in Town Creek while I still care for all of the dental needs in Franklin County. We have added Ruth and Luke to our family since living on the farm.

The Front Office - Alicia & Kelly

Alicia & Kelly will be the first to welcome you in the door at Bowen Family Dentistry. These ladies will help you with booking appointments, understanding insurance benefits, and taking care of any bills.

Kelly Vincent has 18 years of experience in the dental field and has been a valued member of the Bowen Family Dentistry team for the past seven years. She enjoys helping patients coordinate their appointments and making sure their visits to the office run smoothly. Kelly truly loves every part of her job and especially appreciates the amazing team she works with each day.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending quality time with her family and making the most of every moment together.

Alicia Smith has been working in the dental field for 25 years and has been a dedicated member of the Bowen Family Dentistry team for the past 10 years. She truly loves all things dentistry and is passionate about helping patients understand the importance of their oral health. Alicia enjoys educating patients about the value of recommended treatments and the importance of maintaining regular six-month cleanings, exams, and X-rays to keep their smiles healthy. She also appreciates the close-knit “work family” atmosphere that makes Bowen Family Dentistry such a special place to work.
Outside of the office, Alicia loves spending time with her family and staying busy attending all of her grandchildren’s activities. Family time is something she values deeply and enjoys every chance she gets to cheer them on.

Our Hygienists

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Barnwell brings nearly three decades of experience to the dental field, currently celebrating her 28th year in dentistry. She has been a valued member of the Bowen Family Dentistry team for five years. Jacqueline enjoys working with the wonderful patients and supportive staff who make each day rewarding.
Outside of work, Jacqueline loves spending time fishing with her husband and cheering on Alabama football and basketball. She is also proud to be part of a team that truly cares about the well-being of its patients and the community. At Bowen Family Dentistry, Jacqueline and the team are committed to going above and beyond to provide the best care possible.

Lacey

Lacey is a dedicated dental hygienist with six years of experience in the dental field, including the past year and a half with Bowen Family Dentistry. She loves building relationships with her patients and takes pride in helping them achieve their healthiest, brightest smiles. Lacey is passionate about creating a comfortable experience while educating patients on the importance of oral health.
Outside of work, Lacey enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is the proud mom of a precious two-year-old daughter and recently welcomed another baby girl to the family, keeping life full of joy and busy moments.

Christian

Christian graduated from Wallace State's Dental Hygiene program in spring of 2022. She is new to the dental field and brings a smile with her to work every day. Her kind heart and gentle spirit are evident to all of her team and patients.

Our Assistants - Blanca, Tara, and Hannah

Blanca, Tara, and Hannah will be the smiling faces talking you through each step of your procedure. They work side-by-side with Dr. Bowen making sure each extraction, filling, crown, root canal, etc. goes as smooth as possible.

Hannah Morrow has five years of experience in the dental field and has been a valued member of the Bowen Family Dentistry team for the past three years. She enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and being part of their journey toward better oral health. Hannah takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable while supporting them in achieving healthy, confident smiles.
Outside of the office, Hannah loves spending time with her family. She especially enjoys cheering on her two boys, Hudson and Harrison, as they play their favorite sports.
Hannah also appreciates the strong team environment at Bowen Family Dentistry. She believes that when everyone works together and brings their individual strengths, they are able to provide the best possible care for their patients—because, as we say, “teamwork makes the dream work.”

Tara Jones has been working in the dental field for nine years and has been a valued member of the team at Bowen Family Dentistry for the past three years. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with patients and helping them achieve their dental goals—whether it’s a complete smile transformation or a simple treatment to improve their oral health. Tara takes pride in ensuring every patient feels cared for and leaves the office with a smile.
Outside of work, Tara enjoys spending time with her family, attending church, and helping on the family farm with her husband, Benji. Together, they stay busy raising their two children, Benson and Annslee. Tara also values the strong team environment at Bowen Family Dentistry, where everyone supports one another to ensure patients receive the best possible care. She believes having a team that feels like family makes even the busiest days better.
